nikoel Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 (edited) Hey guys Was wondering if any of you had an issue where you are experiencing button press/depress latency when SimAppPro is active I would like to have the application open for lights and rumble function but it's quite unusable for me. For example during dogfights I would press the trigger to fire cannons. But when I depress the fire switch, the aircraft continues firing for up to a second, sometimes two So far I have deleted and reinstalled simapppro multiple times. Deleted and reinstalled DCS (due to a different issue that is a DCS bug). I have deleted and recreated the options lula file. I have tried different USB connections. I am running the whole winwing suite with over 12USB connections but even with the joystick inserted directly into the motherboard it still shows no improvement. If I close SimAppPro everything works perfectly in all USB configurations Winwing support is still winwing "support" - lets not go there Any ideas? Edited July 4, 2023 by nikoel
MustangSally Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 See my sig, have over 20 usb devices with no issues. Do you have any gaming keyboards/mouse software running? speed-of-heat Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 It is a well known issue with their lua script in exports. prestonflying Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 From the sounds of your post, it seems you have narrowed it down to SimApp Pro being open. A few things you could try: 1. Update SimApp Pro? 2. Run as administrator? 3. Open up windows "set up usb game controllers" and see if your stick events are detected in real-time there (no input lag) 4. Could try updating the firmware on the winwing devices (read up on this as it can be tricky sometimes) 5. Could try commenting out the winwing lua script in Saved Games/DCS/Scripts/Export.lua (add a -- to comment out a line or just delete it) to see if the export is causing it. I doubt this is the issue as it sounds like SimApp Pro is what you detected being the problem.
