Adjust Cockpit view help

Can someone please refresh my addle brain on how to adjust my default cockpit view while sitting in said cockpit looking forward? My view is way too close with only the upper portion of MPDs visible....quite claustrophobic. I feel like I'm sitting on someone's lap.

Note this is NOT VR, but using a TrackIR mounted to headphones.

Perhaps a suggested position image if possible.

Pause TrackIR, use the numpad and RShift+RCtrl+numpad to adjust the view and once satisfied, press RAlt+num0 to save and then unpause TrackIR.
