DST Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 (edited) Sorry if this has been adressed before, but I coudn´t find anything in bug section. Very hard for me to nail the actual cause, but it seems everytime I turn radar on when flying on syria map, I get a huge fps hit/lag every few seconds or so. It´s not all the time, sometimes there seems to be no issue. It definitely disappears when turning radar off, so seems to be connected to it. Haven´t had this on any other map this extreme. Sinai for instance runs smooth with radar on. My specs: RTX3080 i7 8700 3 GB Rift S I fly in VR with MT preview and use 4 threads in F15E radar options. Anyone else have this issue? I have to correct myself - it´s also on Sinai map. To be honest - this makes this module unusable for me at the moment. Very annoying. Rhayvn Posted July 12, 2023 Posted July 12, 2023 Same but in regular 2D. If you are flying really low or diving at the ground with the radar on, you get severe slowdown. I believe this is something they are working on. I have tried differetn CPU thread counts to no real benefit. I had to just bind a command to turn the radar from on to stby and back for when I am in those situations. 1
DST Posted July 13, 2023 Author Posted July 13, 2023 I tried 6, 7 and 8 threads, and that seemed to improve things a bit, at least flying with turned on radar seems to work fine first. When I create HRM-image in AG mode, I get huge performance hit and when I then switch back to AA radar, I get those stutters/lags every few seconds that only go away when turning radar off. So for me a workaround would be not use AG-radar at all. I7 8700K 3.7 GHz 32GB RAM NVIDIA RTX 3080 Rift S
