Belphe Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Hi, 1. Is there a way to set my X52 Mode Selector (three-stepped rotary on the joystick with green, yellow and red lights) to actually work as a button? So far I have used it as a.... mode selector... :smilewink: 2. Is there a way to map the big rotary2 on the X52 throttle to govern the TV targetting box size? It is not present among the programable Axes in the config screen... Thanks! Never say never, Baby! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I believe it is done by switching the Axis to "bands" mode in the profiler and then assigning the key commands to the required "band". If you search the forum for "x52" and "bands", I think you will find some thing. Specs: GA-Z87X-UD3H, i7-4770k, 16GB, RTX2060, SB AE-5, 750watt Corsair PSU, X52, Track IR4, Win10x64. beers Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 Mode Selector wheel constantly sends the command, so if you map it to a key stroke, it will repeat it forever. You can do an Advanced Command and that will keep it from repeating forever. You'll have to clear the mode functions (delete the column or change the mode with right-click on column header) I use the wheel for shkval zoom, and pinky+wheel for target box size. I've noticed severl posts where others do the same, so I suggest that rather than the wheel, but in any case, same idea, make bands. 2600K @ 4.2GHz, MSI P67A-GD55, 16GB G.Skill @2133 , GTX 970, Rift, SSD boot & DCS drive [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mad Dog 7.62 Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 I have the Shkval slew mapped to a hat, and use pinkie & left/right hat for the box size and pinkie & up/down for the zoom. Works great for me. MD [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Gigabyte GA97XSLI Core i7 4790 @ 4.0 Ghz MSI GTX 1080ti 32 Mb RAM DDR3-2133 512GB SSD for DCS HP Reverb VR HMD Thrustmaster Warthog & MFG Crosswind
H-street Posted February 26, 2009 Posted February 26, 2009 in the Saitek Profile Editor remove all the shift states, this will allow you to then use them as buttons. the key is though when you assign the button choose New Macro instead of just assigning it or else you'll overload it.
