4080 / reverb g2 Judder issue

Dear All,

I have read numerous threads or watched youtube videos to resolve juddering issues especially when looking sides, but could not manage it so far.

My FPS reading is approx 70-80 FP and usually I do not get judders on light missions, but if I start playing heavy missions the judder is annoying. It is almost perfect when playing 60Hz but that is sort of nauseous though.

My Nvdia Settings are attached together with DCS Graph settings. ( I even set 0.8 resolution for VR, slightly better)

has anyone experienced the same issue with RTX 4080. I am quite surprised that I am having this issue with such a high end GPU. I think there is something terribly wrong with my settings.

BTW: I am not on stream and using OpenXR.

PS: Could anyone please tell me what MT VR: MT stands for?

Also I am adding a sample youtube video what I am experiencing. You can see my PC Specs and VR at the signature section.

Thank you for your responses.

your sample video is of bruce willis ? and plays smoothly.

VR MT = Virtual Reality Multi-Threaded, which is in beta right now

Your nvidia settings are largely irrelevant to VR ... however try reducing your pre rendered frames to 1, 3 will introduce potential lag.

Judder typically is because for whatever reason your frame rate is less than the refresh rate of the display.  If you are hitting 70-80, you will likely either need to drop the refresh rate in the G2 to 60 Hz or significantly reduce your graphics settings.

hahah...that's what I could find. Actually you need to expand the video to see the juddering.

Thanks for the help...

I have VERY, VERY similar PC specs, and am also using the G2.  I get a fairly stable 85~90fps with good clarity while avoiding using reprojection... almost no judder at 100ft in most maps.  I know exactly what you mean by judder ruining the experience, I sacrificed a bit of terrain detail to get rid of it, but totally worth it.

I'll try and compile and post my complete config settings when I get back to civilization tonight.  Every rig is different, but it should provide a good baseline to tweak your setup.

Here's my current build/config.  I don't claim to be an expert, nor do I claim that this is the way anyone else SHOULD be doing things... this is what I have settled on as an acceptable compromise between performance, comfort, and clarity. I'm pretty much constantly tweaking and trying new tips, but this is what currently works for me, and my personal perception... your mileage may vary.

If I'm forgetting something important, let me know.

Happy to help.  Use it as a starting point and adjust to your tastes.  As one who incessantly tinkers with settings, I highly recommend documenting your settings and taking copious notes on every change in case you need to fall back.

good luck!
