razorseal Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 ok, so I've learned how to enter markpoints and steerpoints via the UFC. however I can't figure out how to enter a target from the UFC. with the markpoints, I set a FOV markpoint, then go and edit it. with steerpoints, I type a new sp (8A) and when coords show 00.00.000, I change it and input the new coords. with target, I'm not sure. I tried to enter 1. (this mission had no targets from the start) and UFC would not take it. \ for now, I've just been using markpoints then designating on them. but is there a way to put in a target from the scratch patch, or I gotta designate it?
Sedlo Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 Put it in as 8. (period after the 8 ) That will make it a designated target point. My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS

Sedlo Posted July 28, 2023 Posted July 28, 2023 When you create the steerliint, put it in as 8. Then when you select it, also select 8. My Youtube Channel MY DCS MISSIONS

razorseal Posted July 29, 2023 Author Posted July 29, 2023 Ok when I do that, I get a flashing scratchpad. I will try again Monday when I'm off work and put up a video
JB3DG Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 If the point does not yet exist (ie lat/Lon are 0) you have to enter it first as a regular steerpoint in order to get to where you can give it a lat/lon. Once it has valid lat/lon, remain in the PB10 submenu and re enter the point as X. To make it a target. Thereafter you can select it for steering from the MENU1/DATA1 pages by entering X.
