Flapjacks Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Hey, so I'll be getting a new hotas and I wanted to know if the game automatically saves a profile for the keybinds of my current hotas or will I lose all of my assigned keybinds when I plug in the new hotas and start saving keybinds to it? Also, If I have to save a profile, do I have to save for each aircraft or can I save them all under one hotas profile?

You actually dont lose any keybinds, they will still be there if you ever plug your old Hotas back. The new Hotas will need new keybinds, as DCS will recognize it as a new device .. DCS may attempt to auto-assign som axis though, so be sure to check those. 32 minutes ago, Flapjacks said: Also, If I have to save a profile, do I have to save for each aircraft or can I save them all under one hotas profile? Every aircraft and device is separate, can't save them all at once unfortunately. 1 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

The only use I ever found for the save/load profile was this: Since the AH-64 has the same controls for the pilot and CPG, Set up the stick and collective for the Pilot. Save As then load into the CPG. It works! But you’re saving each one separately. Not sure that’s useful for anything else but that’s how it works. Maybe something like the F-15E with dual controls would find that useful. 1 1 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
