Gazelle triggers tires skidding sounds

Hi everyone,

 

When landing at a certain speed the sound of tires skidding on the tarmac is triggered.

Since the Gazelle has skids, this seems to be unintended.

I think I only get those sounds when I flew to low under some shelters on Nellis.

I can try on grass and dirt as well. But in any case, those sounds should not trigger because the Gazelle has a skid.

I've just checked and I can only trigger it when landing on "cement". Grass and sand don't trigger that sound.

Right, I get it roads as well. Just tried.
But we should get some kind of sound, shouldn't we?

Yeah, some sounds should definitely trigger. Perhaps some metal scratching. The UH1 has this "thunk" sound play when landing at high speed on cement.
All in all, I should say this is a minor "issue". It's really just a small improvement.

Will look into it and see what we can do. It should be noted that _all_ aircraft in DCS use wheels (including the Huey), there is no actual skid physics simulation in DCS. So we are limited in some areas.
