Do I have to use a 1080 resolution? Absurd.

Ever since I bought the new Normandy map, new Spitfire module and asset pack, I've realized that there are visibility issues at high monitor resolutions. I normally use 1440p and flying with some friends of mine who use 1080p resolution they can see the planes in flight while I am completely blind. In order not to be disadvantaged, I'm forced to reduce my video resolution to 1080p by flying to the monitor window. I think this situation is absurd and a solution should be found, otherwise at least for me it wouldn't make sense to fly to WW2.
Who encountered the same problem? Has anyone solved it differently? Thank you

Thing is that there is no solution for this issue. If ED will enhance spotting for 1440p the spotting for 1080p will get enhanced too.

Key is to choose proper screen size to resolution, so pixel size will be in reasonable range 

Optimal screen size for 16:9 screen is as follows

1080p 21-24 inch

1440p 27-32 inch

2160p 43-48 inch

Having monitor bigger then suggested will make picture less sharp, and having monitor smaller then suggested will render pixel so small so human eye will have hard time spotting it.

My monitor has a maximum resolution of 3440x1440...but you can't use DCS WW2 with this resolution, I assure you that you don't see other contacts at the right distances.

There is a fix for this in the works. It involves ED adopting something like this mod into the game.

Like i said, matter only resolution vs screen size, if you have small monitor and high resolution it will have very small pixels. How many inches your monitor has ??

If you have typical size 3440x1440 screen which is 34.14 inch it renders pixel size 0.232mm in my case i have 3840x 2160 resolution and screen size is 47.6" which renders 0.275mm pixel which is bigger and easier too see.

This mods probably changes initial size from 1 pixel to 2 pixels but this affect all res across, it will make easier to spot high res but it will make even more easier to spot at lower res.

Se hai uno schermo di dimensioni tipiche 3440x1440 che è 34,14 pollici, rende la dimensione dei pixel 0,232 mm nel mio caso ho una risoluzione di 3840x 2160 e la dimensione dello schermo è 47,6 "che rende pixel 0,275 mm che è più grande e più facile da vedere.

Questa mod probabilmente cambia la dimensione iniziale da 1 pixel a 2 pixel, ma questo influisce su tutta la risoluzione, renderà più facile individuare l'alta risoluzione ma renderà ancora più facile l'individuazione a bassa risoluzione.
