PorkinsFury Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Since about three updates ago I have been getting really bad shimmering and generally poor performance when I play through WMR. When I set Steam VR as the OpenXR runtime and run the game through Steam VR I don't see these problems. Also, I am running the MT version. I know the easy solution is to just play though Steam VR but I thought the whole point of being native OpenXR was to cut out the extra API (Steam VR) for better performance. Anyone else having this issue? Everything worked great when native OpenXR and MT were first released.

If you need a helping hand, give our "hands" something to work with. We can't guess out of the blue. Ok, we could, but that wouldn't help you at all. What about your hardware, your OS, your VR-tools, DCS settings, your start file settings, settings of your VR-tools, did you a DCS slow repair, the fxo and metshaders2 folder was deleted, no mods, which version of DCS you are using, what's your credit card number (joke ) and so on? PorkinsFury Posted September 2, 2023 Author Posted September 2, 2023 As SteamVr is working fine for me I was really just reaching out to see if this was a common problem from some previous update, hence not bothering to post that information. But, since it seems not to be the case here it is; Open beta Windows 10 HP Reverb G2 RTX 3090 Ryzen 7 5800X 64 gb ram Pixel density at 1.0 in game. Before the change I was running 150% render scale in OpenXr tools. Changing this did nothing. I did slow repairs and a complete reinstall with no luck. Oh and no mods

Thanks for the suggestion tho Was hoping 2.9 would fix this for me but still the same. Guess Im stuck in SteamVR for now
