Don't know if someone asked for this before or elsewhere, but in my opinion this incredible map lacks only of one thing: a proper ground units asset pack for countries within the region (Turkey, Israel, Lebanon, Syria at least) that would fullfill our current mission designer "units workaround" when it comes to create scenarios.

For example the lacks of proper APC vehicles (i.e. Turkey's AAPC, Lebanon VAB VCT), or towed artillery, or proper MBT units.

I think that a reasonably priced add-on would be a not-so-bad idea to add more context to the scenery area 🙂

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

That required a asset pack teams as ED / RAZBAM / Dekka / M3... has outside of Map teams.

Uhm so you think it's not doable cause there are too much different activities than map building? I know the skill would be different, didn't think so much different. About having a "flyable" module developed by a scenery builder third party ok, I understand that's a completely different world... I thought that ground vehicles would be a more developable skills even by someone without that specific skills.

(my mind was saying: ok, 3D is not an issue, maybe some kind of "sfm type" code for handling vehicle behaviour, weapons, armor, etc)

PS: I know what you did, so if you say so I completely trust your point:). It's only for sharing why I asked that here and not as a general DCS core wishlist thing.

Normaly has 3 "teams" into DCS Modules:
- Module Teams dedicated to build modules with SDK with cockpits, systems, AFMs, etc.
- Assets packs teams dedicated to build assets (weapons require ED) with the SDK / 3D / LUA code and SSM/SFM systems.
- Maps Teams deditated to build maps with the TDK (Terrain develop kits).

A example of the diferences of Map teams vs Assets teams has the "traffic" and some 3d stuff on the map. Has need exported to the SDK to rebuild them to use on the DCS mission editor and get LUAs to use as a IA unit. a example has the ED WW2 assets pack vs old Ugra-Media Normandy map, or old maps as NTTR and Persian Gulf builded with dedicated traffic, diferent teams with diferents tools and aproachs.

That's clear, therefore I'll try to re-post that in a more general place... but I don't think that would work. Maybe some more country-specific or countries-pack specific things might work better... in a more general, core way.
