Hey I'm New to the viper I've been flying the A-10 for a while and recently the F-15E, I have played around with the F-16 in the past but never spent much time in it, but I've decided to put some time in the viper, my question is I'm using the thrustmaster TPR rudders and I have never had to use any axis tuning however when I'm taking off even with a 3 kt wind if I disable NWS at 70 kts the aircraft yaws from the wind and I have to put in a large amount of rudder to correct it and I also notice when taxiing my turn radius is very wide  what settings are you guys using for your rudders?

Well I have answered my own question for all the reading and studying I've done about different aircraft and combat tactics after 3 years of DCS I'm just now finding out the issue was me not putting my feet on the rudders correctly kind of embarrassing to say but I'm leaving this post up it may help someone out in the future who is making the same mistake..

Can you elaborate on exactly what you were doing wrong and how you tweaked your position

Sorry I haven't checked back in on this thread in a while but to answer your question the proper way to use the rudder pedals is to steer with the tip of your toes not your whole foot as I was doing and if you are taxing and need to make a very tight turn give it a little throttle as you fully deflect the rudder and with the ball of your foot push the brake on the side you are turning slightly and you will find that you can turn sharply
