Alexrey Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Hey guys, The reason I'm asking this question is because I'm at university and thought I'd try play some LOFC online again like I used to back home, but my university internet cap is only about 500MB so I'm really worried about bandwidth usage. So, does anyone know roughly (or precisely :)) how much bandwidth LOFC uses per hour when playing online? Thanks.
Kuky Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 most servers use 128/128 Kbps connection... so you as a client should use 128 Kbps which calculates at some 56.25 MB per hour PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR

Kuky Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 true, actual usage will be slightly less than that... don't know exactly by how much... the less the people in the server the less data needs to be transferred. Also maps with lower number of objects means less data trasfer PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
