Shug Ninx Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 (edited) Hello ! Some minor yet irritating bug came out for me with 2.9. The VR Mask becomes "translucid" during flight, which produces a thick blue line on the bottom of the screens of my G2. It looks normal in the main menu though. St4rgun Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 The "not showing VR mask" issue is long related to MSAA turned off. For me also came back this time, as I switched from MSAA to DLSS with DLAA, so no VR mask. @BIGNEWY Have you noticed this missing mask feature with other type than MSAA anti-aliasing? I confirm the VR Mask is present with MSAA, but absent in any other mode. 1

Is this fix needs very high developer resources? Just asking because the missing VR mask completely ruins the otherwise STELLAR performance of 2.9 with DLAA... To have the mask properly shown was the only reason for me in the past to use MSAA at all. This bug has been here for months (or even years). Talvid Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 This is the closest thread to the topic of my question, so here goes. I want to turn off the HMD mask in my VR, so the 'fisheyes' aren't shown on my screen, and I used to know how to do it, but know when I uncheck 'HMD Mask' in DCS settings or my pimax app, it does nothing to revert back to a cropped image on the DCS Application screen on my monitor while I'm using VR. What am I missing I wonder. Please, if you know how to turn off the HMD mask, or crop to rectangle let me know. I don't really care if it's not a thing anymore. VR rig -
F00BAR Posted April 5, 2024 Posted April 5, 2024 Just reporting this is still a problem. Any chance for a fix?
