Maximum speed

So, I've been flying for a while, and I'm trying to figure out how fast you can go in this plane with a full combat load. I have a standard-ish 2xPLII, 4xSD10, 2x800L and a jammer, and I can't really get the plane above Mach 1 at any altitude depsite being in combat engine setting and full burner.

Meanwhile an F-16 can do Mach 1.5 at 40k feet and even AI in the Jeff can go much faster. Am I doing something wrong or is this a normal speed?

You have a single engine having way less thrust than viper.

I am new to Jeff, but you can try the following:

1. remove 2xPLII

2. place 2xSD-10

3. attach Jammer.

Climb to to 26kft with no afterburner, than climb to 40k with afterburner, level out, dive to 30kft at 15 degree, level out and climb back to 40k. You should end up with Mach 1.4 or a bit more. Fire your 2 missiles and run away.

Don't compare the aircraft performance against AI. The AI does not follow the same physics as a player does.

Also worth pointing out is that the F-16 has quite a bit more thrust compared to the JF-17. And you are running a very draggy loadout on a little airframe.

While I cannot tell you if this is accurate or not, I could expect this to happen.

Just did Mach 1.61 with Jeff at 40k

I can fly from Tbilisi to Kutaisi and back with 400-500 left in the tank.

Important is not to get caught by viper on return leg, since you will get shot in the backs.

However if you shoot last round correctly he will be busy dodging that while in the meanwhile reinforcements will arrive.

that is not standard, unless you can point to photos. All I ever see is one SD-10 on each wing along with the PL5s.
