Starting unit [CA]

I can't figure out how to select the unit focused at the start of a mission, or better yet, already in the vehicle [CA].

I have simple mission with troops and Humvees. I'd like to start at the Humvee, or already in it. Currently I have to find it with F7 first.

btw: Trigger set as (Once, at Take control) also doesn't detect jumping into a vehicle.
