H60MTI Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 If this has been answered, my apologies. Is there a way to add FARPs in the game? Looking for both fixed wing and rotary wing. Ideally I would like to have a FARP off of a hard ball to have an A-10 roll into and one out in the middle of nowhere, like a FOB or PB, for rotary wings to land at. Fuel and armament would be awesome but mostly fuel. Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
Solution razo+r Posted November 6, 2023 Solution Posted November 6, 2023 There are only FARP for helis available. You can find them under static objects - heliports. If you want a FARP for fixed wings, you need to find either an abandoned airfield or a straight piece of road and then place an invisible FARP there. You can find it at the same place as above. 1
H60MTI Posted November 6, 2023 Author Posted November 6, 2023 Invisible FARP? That's a new one Lol Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
razo+r Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 The normal FARP has an edge that you can either not drive over with fixed wing or it will break their gear, so an invisible FARP has been implemented so that these aircraft can also be treated on a FARP. 1
H60MTI Posted November 6, 2023 Author Posted November 6, 2023 Interesting...I'll have to check that out. Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"

The invisible FARP looks much better because... uh. yeah. 19 hours ago, H60MTI said: Interesting...I'll have to check that out. Use the singular (non-raised) helipads and an invisible farp for much, much better visuals and much, much better flexibility when setting up your mission. 5 Minutes well spent. Roadside FARPS are still tricky for fixed wings (except perhaps Hornet and Harrier) on many maps because many planes get stuck in the ground should they roll over grass or similar, so you'll need some testing. H60MTI Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 I know what you're talking about with the getting stuck part. I've had to use full burner before to get rolling if I happened to run off the edge of the runway or skidded off due to damage and had to get repaired in the sod.
