Hi All,

I recently updated DCS to latest version and since then I am experiencing stutters/lags in performance which really ruins the experience for me. I am not sure what has changed in latest update, however before the update everything was running smoothly on my current settings (High). All of NVidia drivers are up to date and DCS is installed on SSD. As I said before the update everything was running fine with no lags or stutters. I am on open beta version

Anyone experiencing similar issues?

Hi,

Your cpu has 4 cores correct? and you have 32GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070, 32GB pagefile

You maybe experiencing a bottleneck.

if you have core parking enable it maybe worth unparking them,

ensure hotplug in dcs controls is disable

check your F drive has plenty of space left on it, and your OS drive has plenty of space.

Hello there,

That is correct my cpu is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 which is currently about 6 years old, GTX 1070 graphics card, 32 GB RAM, F Drive which is SSD (where DCS is currently installed) has plenty of space in it. Pagefile set to around 30GB within that Drive.

I tried to play around with graphics however I am still getting lags/stutters on even Low/Medium settings.

Something has changed during this update - As before the update, it was running smoothly with no lags/stutters whatsoever even on high settings. Is there a way to revert back to previous build?

It's not you and you are not alone. 2.9 has an issue that causes stuttering. People with very high specs. are experiencing the same issue. It seems to be related to objects inside DCS, either ground or air or both.

Try flying over the sea or at the edge of a map and see if the stutter is still present.

In my case, it's completely gone. When objects are around, it's unplayable.

I actually agree to the above - flying over sea does not cause any stuttering or lags however the moment when I approach the coast/where scenery starts to load that is also when the lag starts.

So yeah something is definitely wrong with 2.9, Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
