Current system:

I7-12700k

64GB DDR4 3200

RTX 3070 Ti

2 x 2TB m.2 drives

I've run into a bit of cash and the itch to buy some hardware is there. My understanding is that the 14th gen Intel chips likely won't gain me anything(i7 or i9) but maybe I'm wrong. I'm using an ASrock Z690 board and sort of want to max it out. This would also mean grabbing a 128gb ddr4 kit as well. But this is just me spit balling, what do you guys think? Assuming you had my system and maybe $1000 to throw around, would you upgrade anything there?

Thanks!

what monitor or vr headset do you have?

pc hardware the only thing to upgrade;;  what hotas do you use?

I use an Alienware curved OLED monitor, and my HOTAS is complete.

I presume that monitor is 3440 x 1440 144Hz+(?).

Graphics card upgrade would be good there. An excelent choice to go with that monitor is the RTX 4080 16GB.

Yes 3440 x 1440 but it's 175hz (I limit it to 144). Anyways I never considered the 4080. Do they by chance make an AIO version like the 4090 I was (stupidly) looking at?

When you mean AIO version, I presume you mean watercooled GPU with own radiator?

If so, yes, there's a few RTX 4080 models with own radiator:

Be careful with the prices that some sellers are placing on these (top performance and coolest RTX 4080).
These are usually around $1550.00, but some are placing even higher prices that get too close to RTX 4090 money...

Also note, the RTX 4080 is not a problematic GPU in regards to temperatures or quality, and pretty much any air-cooled model is good (and less expensive than those).
Matter of opinion but, I'd even say to pick the brand you like/trust the most, and/or go for the one you like the most aesthetically.

In any case, here's an RTX 4080 buying guide that may help:
