kd001 Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I know this game had performance issues when it was first released but I thought it would run as smooth as butter on a high-end machine of today's standards. I have an intel quad core 2.66GHz processor, 2MB memory, and 768MB Geforce 8800GTX graphics card and yet, with all graphics setting at maximum, the the FPS drops below 20 if I'm flying close to the ground with other aircraft in the area. is this normal? Are there tweaks for improving the performance? Someone said Lock-on should be made to use only one core but I'm not sure how to do this. I have patched the game to 1.02. OS is Vista 32bit. Other, more recent games run a lot more smoothly on my system. Thanks for any advice.
Gunja Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 there are some addons which improve fps and some are listed here browse through lockonfiles site and see which of many mods suit you best. to use some of them you would need 1.12 version (flaming cliffs addon) of the game.
