Hi all,

has anyone got this working in DCS?  I can only use the Pass-through when outside of the game.

Appreciate any help you can give.

You can't by default. However... there is a hacky work around you can do with Reality Mixer - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1844610/Reality_Mixer__Mixed_Reality_for_VR_headsets/

The biggest problem is with DCS is the amount of overhead running DCS through Steam (when using a Windows MR headset) to allow you to use this application.

It's annoying that not all camera based headsets don't have built in custom passthrough options for our type of scenario.

Thanks for that.

Have since stumbled upon a DCS Forum thread about Leap Motion and cheap 'Finger mice'.  Sounds like a good alternative to Passthrough for me.  Less immersion killing, and works no matter what headset you have.  2nd hand ones can be found relatively cheaply online.  Will be trying it out soon.

You can do easy, only must press win+Y on your keyboard while running VR, so you will see a blue line on the top of the screen saying "don't remember exactly what" If you have your rig well configured to hear and recognize speech, only say "torch on" or "torchlight on" (in spanish "linterna encendida") and IF YOUR CONTROLLERS ARE NOT ENABLED you will see the passtrough, if controllers are enabled the passtrough will point where they are pointing....so if they are resting at the table you will see a circle over the table...

Think I posted years ago some instructions....here tou have the link

It worked always for me no matter if I am at full sacreen or windows, I am not playing the steam version. Make sure you enables thos "BLUE LINE"

Here you have another post I think will bring more light :

Thanks for that Firefox121,

I have successfully gotten the Passthrough 'torch' to work, but the camera view it creates is so big, I can no longer see enough of the VR world, to check that I am typing the correct thing for example.  I have ordered a finger mouse like your one, and hope to buy a 2nd hand Leap Motion Original in the next few days.

So hopefully, I will have a very cheap PointCTRL setup that didn't take one year to arrive 🙂

Glad to hep, with the finger mouse and the leapmotion is enough to play if you are far enough from your monitor and your desk, I have now my controls mounted into my armchair so I can play far from the monitor, when my hotas was mounted on my desktop the leap motion  was hardly usable, always touching my screen before reaching the virtual buttons (lol) ,

Also if you can acces to a 3d printer search for leapmotion mount at github, and print one to attach it to your reverb g2.

This is the one I am using

Thanks Firefox121,

I will!  Unfortunately, I missed out on the auction for the 2nd hand Leap Motion 1.  So now I need to start looking again 🙄

Or maybe wait until there is a sale for the Leap Motion 2.

Have a good flight.

I have had a bit of luck (if you don't mind ugly).

Attached my G2 controller to my arm, locked the point button in place, and used the Finger Mouse @firefox121 suggested = Now I have a VERY cheap PointCTRL, and only needed to wait 7 days!

Good luck with all your builds.

Glad to help, indeed, you don`t need to attach your controller unless you want to use the passtrough where the controller is aiming, if you remain the cursor centered (remember it turns blue?) nevermind, it stays always centered at screen) when you move your head, you can point the cursor where you wants simply looking at it with tour head,  and click the finger mouse or rotate the wheel like you want, requires a bit of practice but works well too.
