orcrist Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Is it possible to run DCS on a local server without internet access? I know the clients need to check in occasionally for licensing permissions, but can you multiplayer if you're running a local server and two local clients over a local network? Also I assume the server doesn't need to be amazing spec, i.e no powerful graphics card because the clients are running the graphics, not the server. Or am I wrong?
Maverick87Shaka Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 Server still need some good specs to run smooth the simulation.....no graphics card required, but you still need a good amount of RAM ( at least 16GB DDR4 ) and a good 4C/4T CPU with at least 4Ghz of clock, just for reference, if you are on intel....at least an i7 6th or 7th gen CPU, if you're on a more recent architecture like 11th gen, it can works fine even an i3/i5 for "small" mission. Regarding the internet connection, no, server will not work without any internet connection.
