Woogey Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 Public Service announcement: Please convert your F-14 Liveries to the MSFS format and upload them, If you don't, somebody else will! Over at Flightsim.to there are a couple of kids that are notorious for taking our hard work and publishing it as their own. I have heard that the MSFS version of the Heatblur Tomcat uses the same Texture format as the DCS version. That means you only need to create the MSFS config file and you have a brand new livery. I hope that all of you fellow artists out there create an account on any of the FS related sites (Especially Flightsim.to) Upload your stuff, and get the proper credit that you deserve. -Preston
Woogey Posted December 9, 2023 Author Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) This has nothing to do with HeatBlur, or IndiaFoxtEcho, and there is nothing they can do about it. This is a matter of integrity, or lack thereof. Its the same attitude from people that steal and pirate software. It doesn't matter, that is going to happen whether we like it or not. All I am suggesting, is for us fellow artists to be proactive, upload your own work to these sites so that someone else doesn't take credit for your hard work. Edited December 9, 2023 by Woogey

If you don't like that the liveries you created yourself at ED are uploaded to the MFSF, you have to take legal action against it. Do you notice that the problem is Heatblur? If a live rice is good and authentic, I wouldn't care where it appears to the general public. After all, it's not a painting, but textures that you yourself have offered for free, which is crucial for a game. If someone demands money for the liveries, the license conditions look a little different not only for the games but also for the software used to create the textures. Everyone should know that too. You read an awful lot in that that OP that I don't think is actually there.
