greyeagle787 Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 (edited) Just tried Mission 3 “sniffer” and the weather was so bad I couldn’t complete it. Clouds and visibility over the reservoir was almost ground level and nil. Looked at one of the YouTube run throughs and the weather for him was fine!! What happened to me? Reflected Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 No idea, I replayed the mission last week and it was fine. I mean it was rainy and foggy, but not nil. Do you have any unofficial mods installed? Any at all? Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
MAXsenna Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I just played through this mission a week ago. No issues! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
greyeagle787 Posted December 15, 2023 Author Posted December 15, 2023 (edited) Played it again and no issues, go figure?! Maybe I was dreaming! BTW, any reports of issues with the RAlt+/ Comm menu not showing up all the time? Happened a couple times here and mission 5. Do I have to do something different with the rotary selector dial? Hadn’t had in issue elsewhere in SP or MP. Edited December 15, 2023 by greyeagle787
Reflected Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I have a video for that one Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

Anyway, I use VAICOM, but when I was gonna contact the ship to get the rails down, I learned the hard way, that some buttons\keybinds won't work from both seats, so I mapped a spare button for the co-pilot (commander) which actually have LCtrl+Space as the keybind for the radio menu. A fix would be to change the Huey to have separate control settings for both pilot to avoid confusion I guess.

I will experiment with the different seat “call radio menu” commands. I have been using VoiceAttack to initiate the menu (RAlt+\) and it doesn’t work all the time in this campaign. Maybe need a separate VA command using LCtrl+ Space when in the copilot’s seat. I solved it for now using the VAICOM “options” command and that works all the time. 1

I believe there are errors with the Huey itself, that goes unnoticed because most users fly from the right hand side. I mapped the PTT trigger in the left hand side cyclic, and for some reason it also works from the right hand side. Might wanna try that.As for VAICOM, it seems to also have trouble with the Huey currently. I have to issue a command from the communications menu, like request startup, then everything works after.
