Will upgrading GPU and RAM cause problems in terms of activations or settings?

Hello,

I am going to upgrade my graphics card and add RAM. If I remember well there are a certain number of activations in DCS. Do I have to do something with DCS prior to upgrading hardware?

And what about settings before launching DCS? Perhaps deleting metashaders2 and fxo folder contents in saved games? Anything else?

Thanks

Changing hardware will only cause you grief if you have your DCS set to PERMANENT offline mode (set it back to "normal" check for license on launch before you change things then set it back in this case).  As long as your install checks for license when you boot you're good.  The old system had a limited number of activations and you might have wanted to unbind before changing.

Deleting metashaders/FXO would be a good plan, especially since you're changing the graphics card.
