A small disappointment

Hi all...and Hi Reflected...

I bought the "Horrido" campaign for Christmas knowing the quality that Reflected puts into its campaigns. In the past I bought all his campaigns, both for the Spit and for the P51 and 109... and I loved them immediately. I only needed the one for 190 and so I decided...

But unfortunately I was disappointed, because as DCS is today this campaign is unplayable.
The 190 suffers from its weak engine, and every clash with the AI becomes a massacre: no chance of competing with a Spit (AI)(Mission 3, where 4 Spits bring down 8 190A8)  or  reaching 7000m in time to intercept the bombers (Mission 2).

It's really a shame...
What leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth is the impossibility of taking advantage of the single player (and therefore campaigns like those of Reflected) to fully enjoy a module that you love. Perhaps it is a problem that is less evident in the modern context, but in a context like WW2 it is truly debilitating.

I hope that in the future DCS can allow to fully exploit its potential and let players fully enjoy campaigns like those created by Reflected.

@Barbarossa I'm sorry that your experience was a bit disappointing. I agree that the FW-190 is the least capable warbird in DCS and very hard to fly well against the others we have. I cannot comment on whether the module is bugged or it was like his in real life to, it's not my responsibility or area of expertise.

The campaign - for this reason - is centered around air to ground and bomber intercept, but of course, it's not meant to be easy - the life of a Luftwaffe pilot wasn't easy in 1944. I've played the campaign several times and if you check on youtube you'll find many playthrough videos proving that it's quite possible to complete and survive these missions if you fly in a very disciplined way. Don't expect to become an ace though, but that's true for all of my campaigns.

Hi Reflected, thanks for your reply. I'll follow your advice: I'll watch some playthrough on youtube and I'll try to refly the whole campaign...and I'll try to improve my A8 skill as well

I wonder, Reflected, if you were willing to convert this campaign to the Dora. As another paid version of the campaign, of course. I just can't justify buying the Fw 190 A-8 only for your campaign. Its performance against the other warbirds (all late-war except the Spitfire) is simply too bad.

If I wanted to release something separate for the Dora, I'd not simply convert the missions but build new ones. But it's not in the plans.

However, there are 2 bonus missions for the Dora that come with the Horrido campaign.

I should not have underestimated your dedication, haha. You are not the guy to simply convert missions to another plane. Sad that it's not in the plans, especially since we have a Germany map now which further down the line will also feature Belgium IIRC and winter textures. 

But back to the matter at hand: I've now purchased the Horrido campaign so that I have at least 2 voiced-over singleplayer missions for the Dora. However, I can't access them because I don't have the Anton. Is there a workaround?
