Does anyone know of a shortcut option to toggle ASW on/off in-sim? Other than taking off your headset and using oculus tray tool? Is there a way to key-bind this?

I’ve not seen a way to do it. I believe there is a way to do it via a script in which case you could then use something like autohotkey to capture a keypress of stick button to run the script. Other than that I’d have to check in OTT to see if there is a way in that tool to do it.

Out of interest, why do you want to turn it on and off during the sim? Have you considered auto ASW mode?

I have found this but have not yet tested if it still works:

ctrl-keypad1 ASW Disabled

ctrl-keypad2 Force 45 fps no ASW

ctrl-keypad3 Force 45 fps with ASW

ctrl-keypad4 Enabled ASW auto

Yes. I do use this but I'm either at 72 or 36. I do not mind running at 60+. It would handy to toggle to 36 when needed.

The above works. The first thing I do every time I boot up DCS is hit Ctrl-1 because ASW is the devil.

Yes. It can be, but it's useful for me when flying low. I would like to use ASW off most of the time then toggle on if I need it. I'm going to try binding these to joystick buttons.

I use "ctrl-keypad3 Force 45 fps" via Voice Attack when in the menu in DCS. Works every time. I have the FPS display up at the same time to make sure the FPS drops to 40 (80hz mode).

Why don‘t you just keep it off by default in OTT or ODT?

And stutters are the devil as well…it‘s simply a matter of choosing your poison.

I do. The remarkable thing is that if you turn it off in ODT or OTT, when you run the game and watch the framerates, it clearly still turns on. In my experience the only way to really turn it off is by hitting Ctrl-1 every time you log in to the game. Does the ODT method work for you? Maybe I'm missing something?

I've bound this to the number buttons on the side of my gaming mouse. Works a treat.

I have just found the keybinds in Oculus Tray Tool which allow to to toggle and cycle through the ASW modes with voice feedback.
