RLTick Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 (edited) Hello, I'm running into an issue where the datalink image for the slam/slam-er is just a green blur with no detail (see attached image). I've followed both chuck's and several video tutorials so I don't think I'm missing any steps. I've verified that the data-link pod is set to the correct channel, cockpit displays are set to 1024, and I'm not using any shaders. Channing track blk/wht doesn't change anything, changing the mdf contrast doesn't either. This happens regardless of distance to the missile and when the plane is pointed directly at the target point. Any advice/help would be appreciated. Thanks SLAM-ER test.trk Edited January 2, 2024 by RLTick
bfr Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Seemed to behave fine for me with the video feed kicking in properly 30s or so prior to impact (I could override the weapon OK so the DL pod was working fine both ways). I took control of the track just after you launched, although you did still seem to be in active pause at the time of launch and for a bit after.
RLTick Posted January 5, 2024 Author Posted January 5, 2024 I was in active pause for the uploaded track, however, I get the same result regardless of whether or not I'm in active pause. I haven't had any issue with the video kicking in.
FrostLaufeyson Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 The last time I encountered this problem, I adjusted a setting option and the problem was solved. The rendering distance will have a great impact on SLAMER's image, but I forgot which setting option it is. When the rendering distance is too close, SLAMER just can't see anything.
RLTick Posted January 6, 2024 Author Posted January 6, 2024 Did some further testing and found its dependent on visibility range and not preload radius. I have it set to Ultra and at that setting the camera kicks in at 38 miles. Thanks for the help 1
