Flameout777 Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 Hello everyone, I've been playing single player DCS off / on periodically in VR using HP Reverb but got frustrated with it as my PC just wasn't up too playing it smoothly at the quality I wanted to play at. I've now rebuilt my PC with a 7800X3D and 64GB Ram and I'm just deciding which GPU I can afford to get. In the meantime I am using my 1080TI. I have not installed the Reverb yet as I did not want to use Steam etc, I know that Open XR was just becoming an alternative when I stopped playing. I have done a completely new install of Windows 11 l and have a new install of DCS on a dedicated M2 NVMe 1TB SSD. Can someone please point me in the correct direction what I need to Install to get VR running smoothly without Steam? Is there an idiots guide for this somewhere? I did not just want to start installing loads of different mods into my new system that aren't necessary. I'd previously used Thuds VR4DCS site but that has not been updated for quite some time. Any help greatly appreciated thanks!! Custom water-cooled loop. Asus 4090 + AMD 7800 X3d +Asus X670 E-E +G.SKILL Trident Z5 DDR5 RAM 64GB 6000 + 3 Samsung 990Pro SSD's. DCS on dedicated SSD.
