gufo2k20 Posted January 12, 2024 Posted January 12, 2024 Hi all, need some help.... i've done a "file clean" and an "integrity check" on DCS 'cause i've deleted the metashader folder by mistake.... Now DCS (ST and MT, standalone, not Steam) works fine, but not in VR....no matter i alunch ST or MT version. "Enable VR" is checked, adding "VR" parameters to .exe shortcut or adding to SteamVR library sort no effects....also tried drive page file or nVidia cache.... No crashes when launching...DCS simply open in 2D as normal. My headset is a Pico 3 Link connected via DisplayPort cable

It's the first time ever I see this error. This is what it means (I quote OpenXR doc): Quote XrCreateInstance creates the XrInstance, then enables and initializes global API layers and extensions requested by the application. If an extension is provided by an API layer, both the API layer and extension must be specified at xrCreateInstance time. [...] Likewise, if a specified extension cannot be found, the call must return XR_ERROR_EXTENSION_NOT_PRESENT and no XrInstance will be created. When you say "file clean" and "integrity check", do you mean you've already tried a DCS cleanup and repair? Someone here was having the same symptoms. Try the solution in the link. 1 ---
