Using the MT with VR.

immediately after launching the game the outside of my vr view starts shaking/wobbling very heavily. but the center view remains stable, posisiton tracking is also not affected. Everything is working as it should be. except for the shaking.

DCS is the only title where this occurs and only during MT. With ST there is no problem.

Using a HP Reverb G2 (v2 cable)

RTX 3080 10gb

Ryzen 7 7700x

64gb RAM

Try enabling the fps overlay. It looks like there are frame time spikes. Are you using OXRTK turbo?

had it open during a simple mission, frames are smooth and  steady at 51-54 fps. Turbo is not turned on. tried fiddling a bit with the fov, reducing the fov made it sort of worse because the shaking became more centered. Like if i could get the fov higher than 100% then the shakey part would be outside the displayed image.

mg_preacher - Per your last, I see you were able to resolve your wobble issue but can you share some specifics of what you uninstalled/reinstalled that fixed it? Looking at your video, I'm having the exact same issue now and I'm running the following:

  • i5 11400

  • RTX 4070

  • 64GB RAM

  • 1 TB SSD

  • Quest 3 VR (wireless)

  • DCS MT 2.9 (not 2.9.5 yet)

I fly the F/A-18C and with the above set up and have been getting solid 72 FPS (even in multiplayer). Recently however, FPS has dropped to only 36 (even in single player training sessions and at high altitude) and worse, I’m getting this sporadic wobble. The wobble start with a brief freeze, then 2x speed to catch up, then wobble, wobble, wobble and then normal. It lasts for a few seconds and then goes back to normal only to repeat a few mins later.

I’ve already taken the following action so far:

  • Installed Process Lasso and optimized CPU for DCS

  • Turned OpenXR turbo mode OFF

  • Reduced a few DCS settings down from High to Med

  • Quest 3 now wired

Just jumped into a basic training mission and no change... 36 FPS with wobbles. I have a DCS buddy who’s also an IT guru and he’s going to take a look at my set up later today but any input here would be appreciated – thanks.

Hi Cobra,
