Stackup Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Currently there is only a single checkbox for the external hardpoints in the mission editor and they can either be ON or OFF. This prevents the Huey from being loaded as a slick with door guns. The low profile door gun mounts are non-existent and you are forced to fly with all the external hardpoints. This isn't realistic. I propose that a checkbox(or loadout option) be made for each hardpoint in the same way every single other aircraft in game can remove pylons individually so that loadouts like the one pictured below would be possible. So that would be an option for the flare pods, rocket mounts, minigun mounts, and wire strike protection system (everything currently covered by the "external hardpoints" checkbox) to be individually removable the same way the Huey's exhaust deflector already is and the same way other aircraft treat their pylons. https://www.museumofflight.org/exhibits-and-events/aircraft/bell-uh-1h-iroquois-huey 2 Modules: F-14A/B, F/A-18C, F-16C, F-4E, F-5E, FC3, AV-8B, Mirage 2000C, L-39, Huey, F-86, P-51, P-47, Spitfire, Mosquito, Supercarrier Maps: Persian Gulf, Syria, NTTR, Marianas, Normandy 2, Channel, Kola Upcoming Modules Wishlist: A-1H, A-7E, A-6E, Naval F-4, F-8J, F-100D, MiG-17F
DishDoggie Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 (edited) It would be Easy to do and a good Idea. The below would help with custom Liveries only the in game liveries I would leave them alone You may know this already too. If not and if it would help, You can do this with an EDIT. If you find the Livery you need and open the Description.lua file with notepad++ at the bottom of the file, add the Name Country and Custom argument 310=1 the front mount will not be loaded. When the in game Hardpoints are in use. I am showing my Rocky Mountain Rescue Livery here. I added a Custom rocket launcher in the same colors of the livery and did not want the front mount on the ship when in use. Like your saying it would be AWESOME if they would add a simple button to add front and back mounts individually save us all this trouble. Edited January 26, 2024 by DishDoggie
Kev2go Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 (edited) Whilst i agree it would be nice to have a properly slick huey, and still mount M60's without requiring the gunship configuration . However the wire strike protection system appears to be universal if your looking at 1980s era ( or later) hueys. The OP pictured huey is clearly an earlier production/ Vietnam configuration UH1H given it lacks RWR "blisters" for mounting APR39 sensors on the front cone section of the airframe, lacks the windows behind the pilot. The whole thing is in need of a rework anyways like A-10C II and Black Shark 3. And I wouldn't say no to an additional earlier variant. Calabrone Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 (edited) Anch'io mi sento allo stesso modo. Le versioni C e D sarebbero davvero un ottimo aggiornamento come la versione bimotore, ma morirò senza mai vederle, l mappa del Vietnam. Tre è il numero giusto: Sud Nord e Central. And with deselection of the frontal miniguns, the pilot and co-pilot's sights should be removed automatically just like with the Mi-8. 3 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
