My Comms menu stopped recognizing F1-F12 function keys

As shown below.  I installed a new flight stick and somehow, in my adventures, my F keys stopped working with the comms menu, I now have to click the menu to cycle options, which works fine, but I’d like to fix it.

now, with comms up, they do the default external camera views (chase, flyby, etc).

 

any thoughts where I can find it? These are the only “comm” functions I can find in the options. I ran a slow repair just in case. That didn’t work.

In any case, since the comms menu is not F/A-18 specific, you need to look under the „General“ or „UI“ tab (don‘t know which one exactly right now).

Thank you, you're right about that. I'm still not seeing exactly what would be a switch to toggle it or what these commands really "do"
