MAck472 Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 All, I am optimizing the performance of DCS/VR (Quest 2) and noted that each setting delivers dramatically different performances w.r.t. the aircraft used. as and example, Persian Gulf scenario, cold start, with Fa18C I achieve steady 72fps with no stuttering, while with A10C II i start out with 36FPS, and a lot of stuttering. Worse with F14, or APACHE. Any consideration/advice/comment on this and possible workaround? ciao
Flappie Posted January 28, 2024 Posted January 28, 2024 Hi. The Tomcat, Warthog and Apache are among the modules that have the most detailed cockpit textures. Try and lower the Textures quality setting in DCS options. ---
MAck472 Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 thank you Acually A10 is working pretty fine, but F14 and Apache are....lagging at best. could be imputed to the fact that are twin seats and part of the processing power is given to the other? ciao
Flappie Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 You're right, that makes more textures to process and then store into memory. ---
Dunska Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 You could try Taz1004's Optimized Textures (which include lots of core textures and a number of cockpit textures such as the AH-64D and A-10C II). For the F-14 I use F-14 VR Ultimate Xperience (F14VUX). F-14 VR Ultimate Xperience (F14VUX) (digitalcombatsimulator.com) 1
