Gyster Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 (edited) Is there a way to display the SRS overlay in my HMD? Edited February 4, 2024 by Gyster

Gyster Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 Nice! I'll give it a go this morning. Thanks!
Gyster Posted February 11, 2024 Author Posted February 11, 2024 Wrong overlay. I'm talking about the one that lists the radios you have set up, frequencies, and who's talking. It shows up on my desktop monitor instead of the VR headset.
Miles Vorkosigan Posted February 11, 2024 Posted February 11, 2024 (edited) Does this type of overlay not appear for you in VR? The pilot speaking name will appear after the frequency that they are sending on. Edited February 11, 2024 by Miles Vorkosigan
Gyster Posted February 11, 2024 Author Posted February 11, 2024 Hey Miles, yes, that looks like it. I've yet to get into a server and figure out how to use it though. I have only the 109 and have added a radio, but don't know how to tune it or what frequency range it should have.

You have to use OpenKneeboard -> Add a tab -> Window capture. null Edited February 12, 2024 by SilentOtto 1 Modules: A10 CII TK; F/A-18C Hornet; Spitfire LF Mk. Gyster Posted February 12, 2024 Author Posted February 12, 2024 Thank you SilentOtto, I know almost nothing about kneeboards and never heard of Open Kneeboard before you mentioned it. But, I managed to get that done and now can move on to learning how to set up and use the radios. Thanks! 1
Viceman Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Is there a way to change location of that overlay?

Just now, Ahdidaas said: are you speaking about moving the openkneeboard overlay or the srs one (the one w/ just lines of text)? For (1) -- yes, openkneeboard has settings that allow you to move its location (find them in the VR settings), for (2) -- no.

I was talking about the overlay which Miles Vorkosigan showed in his screenshot. I think it is the 2. edit: I found a file DCS-SRS-Overlay.dlg and there are some settings (HWXY) but maybe its better to leave it alone. I did some overlay editing in ETS2 for gps and though this has similar settings to show it hmd. Edited August 20, 2024 by Viceman
