Vettecor Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 No electric power when engines are at idle. Have to turn on APU.
admiki Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Because generators are driven by transmission, not engines. With throttles at idle you don't have enough RPM for generators to work. It's not a bug 1
Vettecor Posted February 13, 2024 Author Posted February 13, 2024 Eh, guess I've been stuck on fixed wings for too long.
Dragon1-1 Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 Some fixed wings do that, too. The Saberjet has a light come on if you pull throttle so far back as to prevent the generator from operating. In more modern ones this is not an issue, but don't take it for granted in every aircraft.
