WhiskyTango Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 First off I have a HOTAS, but like flying with a MS 360 Type controller a lot too since I don't have to reorganize me desk every time I want to fly a mission. I have throttle controls mapped to buttons and I noticed that in your missions the Throttle inputs don't throw as much as with my own. I have a lot more control for some reason. I've noticed this also in a Heatblur mission for the F-14, much more control in throttle inputs. Is there something in the mission editor that controls that? Just curious. Thanks
Solution Reflected Posted February 14, 2024 Solution Posted February 14, 2024 Hi, no this is not something the mission can control. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
WhiskyTango Posted February 15, 2024 Author Posted February 15, 2024 Thank you for taking the time to answer! My suspicion is having a large number of high fidelity models near by affects my controls.
Chipwich Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 (edited) Other than frame rate, at higher altitudes (say above 25k feet) the P-51, like most aircraft, will feel sluggish and need very subtle input. This is because the air is thinner and the control surfaces don't have as much air molecules to bite. It's the same with jets, but less noticeable at the same altitude due to their higher airspeed. The same goes for engine performance.
