HitchHikingFlatlander Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 All detailed discussions aside I think the original issue with the thread poster was that he was trimming while applying rudder. He mentioned in one of his posts that his rudder indicator was a good portion to the right which to me would indicate he trimmed with pedals or his pedals are not calibrated/have issues. The former problem has happened to me many times and I have to either recenter the pedals and re-trim or reset the trim entirely in flight. Of course I'm a noob so I could be completely off (consider this a disclaimer)! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
Jack McCoy Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 There no problem in trimming with the rudder off-center. It's only a problem if one forgets to recenter the pedals as one should do with the cyclic. i7-7700K@4.8GHz, 16Gb-3200, GTX-1080Ti-Strix-11Gb, Maximus IX Hero, Oculus Rift, Thrustmaster Warthog+F/A-18C, Logitech G940 Pedals.
HitchHikingFlatlander Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Thats what I mean. Its just that re-centering the rudders takes a little more thought and is easy to forget! http://dcs-mercenaries.com/ USA Squad
