AlienMind Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Don't mean to hijack your thread.. what's the music in the "Action Point" video on the website called?.. it rocks. Other than that, Joe Bonamassa would be fitting I think. Edited April 12, 2009 by AlienMind

Lav69 Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 Moved...lol. I guess this thread is not hard core sim enough.
mvsgas Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Lamb of God, Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse, Chimaira, Slayer, etc. To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
EtherealN Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 I listen to the sweet beat of my coaxial rotors and the divine orchestra of two TV3-117VMA torboshafts. What else could one ever want to listen to? ;) If I absolutely had to, hm... Some Wagner or Bach maybe. Could go for some more modern scores as well, like (almost) anything by Hans Zimmer. Namenlos Ein Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 'Ey, ukhnem!' by Leningrad (IMHO, the best performer of this song was Feodor Chaliapin). http://www.last.fm/music/%D0%9B%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8%D0%BD%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%B4/_/%D0%AD%D0%B9,+%D1%83%D1%85%D0%BD%D0%B5%D0%BC!

EtherealN Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Well, to be entirely up-front I can listen and enjoy to almost anything, and I do have a lot of the things listed by the other people on my iPod. (Definitely not Cannibal Corpse though...) But all of that stuff is so... FPS. :/ What this world needs, in general, is two or three more Hans Zimmers or Wagners. That's how you achieve both tempo and beauty at the same time, whereas almost every other genre seems to only nail one of those. This has led to me noticing that I can listen to Hans Zimmer irrespective of mood - it's always good. Whereas most other stuff will very often seem bland when I'm not in a very specific mood. (Though I have to say, Slipknot's "Snuff" is such a nice ballad I actually found that record in my mother's car stereo... That was a big Whiskey Tango Foxtrot before I made the connection to the ballad. :P ) EDIT: Also, I notice that I managed to completely forget Tchaikovsky! I am a heathen and require punishment. :( Edited April 12, 2009 by EtherealN [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Yesterday I was flying my trusty Su-27 around just chillin' and exploring the map (where does that road lead to?) and I found myself humming a tune in my head as I rolled over the foothills of the Caucasus. Took me a while to figure out what it was..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1I2GY7PGXAs Dut dut da dut, dut d' da dut, dut dut da dut, dut d' da dut..... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! deadsmell Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 While I enjoy listening to tunes, I notice that more recently I just listen to talk radio. lol. Just like when im behind the wheel of my car. Talk radio keeps me focused, but also gives me something to listen to, and think about while I cruise the skies. Dont let the smell get to ya...............
EtherealN Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 I hear ya deadsmell. Something real weird happened to my listening habits after I noticed this little thing called "podcasts". So nowadays my 80gig iPod contains about 8 gigs of music and some 30 gigs of audio and video podcasts. :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
