Dogmanbird Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 meta altering the headset's power requirements over usb-c, almost every software update, has been my gripe. Though I find it a little front heavy, overall I'm very happy with it considering the optics and all the other features for it's price
TKNARMZ Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 I just got my Meta Quest 3. My earlier VR headset was a Valve Index which I loved. I went through 3 different other VR headsets and returned them all, Big Screen, Aero, and HTC VIVE. Im sorry you're having issues, I couldn't believe how amazingly easy it was to get DCS to work on my quest. Link cable, loaded the quest software then opened Steam VR and it just worked. The graphics are amazing and now all the stutters I had before are all gone. runs very smooth. 1 AMD 7900x; Nvidia MSI 4090 Trio; MSI x670e MEG ACE; gSkill 64gb; Thrustmaster F16 Control; WinWIng F16 Throttle; Thrustmaster TPR Rudder Pedals; Meta Quest 3
Phantom711 Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 @TKNARMZ You do not need to go via SteamVR. The Meta App on the PC is enough. Just set it as your OpenXR runtime. Personally I find that better with regards to performance. vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord.
