Can you perhaps post a screenshot of the entire csarManager definition bar (right-hand side) so I can take a look? Wait... what do you mean by 'pick-up' radius? The radius where you hover and winch? Yes, that's a different attribute indeed: It's called "hoverRadius", no quotes, and again you specify the radius in meters 1
cfrag Posted September 7, 2024 Author Posted September 7, 2024 There are also "hoverAlt" (maximum altitude for hovering, 40 meters) and "hoverDuration" how long to hover inside the radius and alt for a winch rescue) to play with. 1

kalter72 Posted September 8, 2024 Posted September 8, 2024 Dear cfrag, could you tell me a solution for one more item: how to zoom out posts ? Because by default I get a sheet on half a screen, when on the server everything is compact and readable. MSI Z690-A, DDR5 32Gb, 13600KF 5Ghz, 3080Ti, SSD, Win10

This is not something that a mission can change.
kalter72 Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 Caught a server with your mission for half a day today and realized the difference. In the downloaded mission in the window about the location of the victims more information that does not fit in one line and is transferred to the second line. As a result, the window is twice as big. Additional information: “ 0.7 nm northeast of Haifa”. This information is not displayed on the server. I got it by changing the radius and picking time. Thanks! And accidentally found online the original SAR Caucasus and SAR Syria servers. And I'll tell you right away: the performance is much worse than your mission! And once it used to fly normally. But after the servers disappeared, there were 3000 updates, which did not bring joy to the owner of VR (( MSI Z690-A, DDR5 32Gb, 13600KF 5Ghz, 3080Ti, SSD, Win10

kalter72 Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Figured it out. Terribly low fps was due to the large number of helicopters placed on the airfields. I removed them in the editor and flying became comfortable. On the download page I read about a script that makes a unit active only after the client selects it, but I couldn't figure out how to apply it. That's 'stopGap' eye candy (boring empty player slots filled with more interesting static representations of the aircraft). I'll add an option so you can disable it in-game from a menu. That being said, if a couple of static objects bring down your rig (in VR, I know), I guess it's time to either take down some of the graphics options, or splurge on new hardware. 1
tomeye Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 ED in the next update said they will bring enhancements related to VRAM usage which in most cases it's responsible for shuttering. Let's see how much it will help. 1

Mayhaps you demand more visual splendor than I do, although I do remember that one of my recent missions (the COIN one, I think) is really unkind, and requires some 4 minutes to stabilize before I can attempt a flight. Hopefully ED get a grip of DCS's memory management soon.

I guess my question is this: Does csarManager support F10 marks or is it something I need to add?

But it's a great idea that I could add soon. Can you tell me the name of the function where I should add it? I can figure it out from there. I already added MGRS to the list of missions. Basically, I want to fly this mission in the Kiowa with no helpers except a MGRS location. (No Smoke, No "we hear you", no bearing and distances) Search and Rescue with more emphasis on the search portion. So I basically want to shut everything off except an F10 map marker and be forced to navigate to that point, actually find the casualty and pick him up without any aids. No smoke, messages, or sounds until he is successfully picked up. Like I said, I already figured out the MGRS location in the F10 menu list but I need to add F10 marks for missions and remove them when picked up. Edited September 23, 2024 by =475FG= Dawger

That would probably be csarManager.createCSARMissionFromZone(). The issue that you are bound to run into is removing the mark once you pick up the evacuee. Perhaps scour csarFX for that, I think that would be the best place to put the mark and remove it again as you also need a place to store the mark reference.

Since each mission has an id, using that ID for the mark ID should make removal pretty straightforward. I will let you know what I come up with.
