Hotdog17 Posted March 9 Share Posted March 9 Hi, I really want to perfect AAR in the F15E, but I just can't get the tanker to respond to the initial 'intent to refuel' radio message. I have the radio set up correctly using Radio 1 and 2 mappings on my HOTAS, I have the correct frequency too. I can get it to respond to my 'Ready Pre Contact' message, but this is no good as the boom needs to be released in response to the initial message. I tried one of the 'pre-canned' DCS AAR missions and ran into the same issue. The only way I could get it to work was to disable 'Easy Comms' in the settings - then the tanker actually responds, and I can take fuel, but only in the pre-canned mission. I f I build my own mission in the editor, even with easy-comms switched off, it doesn't recognise my 'intent to refuel' message. All ATC comms work fine, it's just the KC135. fagulha Posted March 11 Share Posted March 11 I can´t use the S-3b. On radio comm menu it shows as a number and the language is russian when asking for tanking. In Mission Editor it shows as a bomber (B) instead of tanker (K). - "Don't be John Wayne in the Break if you´re going to be Jerry Lewis on the Ball". About carrier ops: "The younger pilots are still quite capable of holding their heads forward against the forces. The older ones have been doing this too long and know better; sore necks make for poor sleep.' Darkdiz Posted March 26 Share Posted March 26 Make sure the "Force AM" on radio 2 is starred (assuming you are using radio 2 to contact the tanker). Its on the radio 2 sub-menu, PB9. I was having that problem as well.
