Hotdog17 Posted March 9, 2024 Posted March 9, 2024 Hi, I really want to perfect AAR in the F15E, but I just can't get the tanker to respond to the initial 'intent to refuel' radio message. I have the radio set up correctly using Radio 1 and 2 mappings on my HOTAS, I have the correct frequency too. I can get it to respond to my 'Ready Pre Contact' message, but this is no good as the boom needs to be released in response to the initial message. I tried one of the 'pre-canned' DCS AAR missions and ran into the same issue. The only way I could get it to work was to disable 'Easy Comms' in the settings - then the tanker actually responds, and I can take fuel, but only in the pre-canned mission. I f I build my own mission in the editor, even with easy-comms switched off, it doesn't recognise my 'intent to refuel' message. All ATC comms work fine, it's just the KC135. All other aircraft work too. I'm really getting frustrated with this now!! 1
fagulha Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 I can´t use the S-3b. On radio comm menu it shows as a number and the language is russian when asking for tanking. In Mission Editor it shows as a bomber (B) instead of tanker (K). About carrier ops: "The younger pilots are still quite capable of holding their heads forward against the forces. The older ones have been doing this too long and know better; sore necks make for poor sleep.' Darkdiz Posted March 26, 2024 Posted March 26, 2024 Make sure the "Force AM" on radio 2 is starred (assuming you are using radio 2 to contact the tanker). Its on the radio 2 sub-menu, PB9. I was having that problem as well.
