Very Basic Collective Question

I just got my BS DVD and have been exploring the simulation. I have my Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS controls programed in (or I thought I did). In Game mode my throttle functions as I thought it would. However in Ka-50 Real mode it doesn't seem to function at all, collective control seems to be num +/-. In the Options Control set-up the Throttle shows the correct movement (Joy_Z). What am I missing??? Doesn't the TM throttle simulate the collective as in EECH?

 

Yes, I've checked the manual - the setup seems good????? Controls were set in both Game and Real modes.

Sounds odd - can you investigate a little further, maybe post some screenshots of your input setup?

That is strange and sounds like you might have a conflict. Check to make sure there are no other commands being used/sent for the throttle. My Cougar works like a good kitty with BS in Simulation mode.

Okay, your investigate it further question made me look deeper into the controls. I'm afraid that I was thinking inside the box and not outside of it. In other words I was stuck in the "Fixed Wing" box. I was setting up the "Throttle" control to Joy_Z when I needed to set the "Flight Control Collective" or at least it seems that way from my initial test. That's my story and I'm sticking with it!

That should do it as that is the correct setting you need.

are you sure you are using the "throttle" on your HOTAS for your "COLLECTIVE"? Or did you assign it to the "THROTTLE"?:joystick:
