Hippo Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Hi, I'm a bit confused about the functionality of two of the switches on the RH wall panel, the NAV switch and the WEAPONS switch. I believe that they are supposed to provide power for the nav and weapons systems. However, the weapons switch doesn't appear do anything - if I start up the helicopter I can use the weapons whatever position this switch is in. The nav switch does appear to cause the nav systems to power down if I toggle it when in flight, but from a cold start the nav systems work whether I use this switch or not (the K-401 power seems to get everything going ok). Any ideas, am I missing something? BTTW-DratsaB Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Nav Switch :- this should only be used on the ground for performing tests on the navigation and targeting system. In the BS producers note about start up, it is turned on and never turned off. This is a mistake and can lead to confusion, you wont need it for flight, leave it off. The weapon switch :- provides power to the weapons system, it should be switched on during start up and left on. I have never tried to use weapons with it off, I always thought that the weapons system would not work in some way if it was off.
