Asign a key / control ?

I play the DCS BS game in "Game" mode, for now. I have a question regarding controls.

In game mode my throttle is assigned to the "A" and "Q" keys. However, I would like to re-assign this to my normal joystick throttle control, like in "Simulator" mode. When I go to the controls and try to do this, by moving the throttle up or down, nothing happens. Then I clicked on the drop down arrow, and see a list of possibilities, but I do not know what to select.

Can anyone help please ?

Don't touch throttle.

 

It's collective that you want. And I am fairly sure this applies to Game mode too. (At least, it did the one time I played in Game mode to test some stuff for a guy that was having issues with a different thing.)

Just doublechecked - under Axis Commands in Game control settings, you want "Flight Control Collective" to Joy_Z. (At least that's what I have in there.)

Yes, I know its collective. But I cannot seem to assign it to my joystick. When I doudle-click on the joysitck tab to change it, I can only bring up this list with BTN_1, BTN_10, ect. And there's lots of them. No one cleary saying it is the "collective".

try the axis control not the buttons.

I dont undertsand. If I go to the axiz controls, it still doesnt explain anything.

You have to choose appropriate cell - <JOYSTICK_NAME> column and Collective row.

If you dont mind, can I ask a couple more questions :

 

1. Is it possible to zoom in and out of the ABRIS map view

2. What do I need to do to end a mission when I fly back, or how do i know the mission is done, and/or succesfull

3. Why does the helipcopter fall over when I land. I have to use rudder and so on to keep it upright

hey bro after you hit the 5 key on your abris hit the map button on the abris then lt rt <> to zoom in and out..if you meet the objectives you will get a mission complete message..try lowing your throttle and slowing your over all speed...also make sure your brakes are off..i think tht should help..good hunt'n

On your questions:

 

1) Yes. Read the manual or watch the tutorial video.

2) You end through pressing ESC and selecting "quit". You know how successful you've been through either having gotten a message saying "Mission Successful" or "Mission Failed", OR through checking mission progress. (Button twice left of Return and above right shift, on my swedish keyboard.)

3) Because you are doing something wrong. What you are doing wrong I can't say since I haven't seen it, a track file would help judging that.

i still cannot zoom in and out of the ABRIS top down map view in game mode. Someone please help. Also, is it possible to zoom in and out of the camera view when locked?

 

Somehow the keys just dont seem to work.

lol..left and right < > keys..on the abris after you switch to map mode...your mouse wheel should control your map zoom in the f10 view..it should also control your cockpit zoom too..if you still have trouble..come over to ka50.com login to the ts server i'll help you out....5x5
