SimApp Pro warns that ALL other USB devices need to be disconnected (including USB hubs) before updating firmware on Winwing controllers. Has anyone done these updates WITHOUT disconnecting every other USB device in the system?

I'll admit that I have played with fire and done it without disconnecting.  Definitely a possibility that it could corrupt something if you don't, but if you accidentally do it you'll likely be OK.

Done it with basic USB peripherals active, including my NZXT AIO

Intel I5 13600k / AsRock Z790 Steel Legend / MSI  4080s 16G Gaming X Slim / Kingston Fury DDR5 5600 64Gb / Adata 960 Max / HP Reverb G2 v2

Rhino FFB / Virpil MT50 Mongoost T50 Throttle, T50cm Grip, VFX Grip, ACE Rudder / WinWing Orion2 Navy, UFC&HUD, PTO2, 2x MFD1, PFP7 / Logitech Flight Panel / VKB SEM V  / 2x DIY Bodnar Button Panels

I went ahead and disconnected a couple of USB drives and the hub and updated my rudder pedals and throttle. Everything went well and force feedback actually works now with the throttle handle in DCS.

I updated the throttle without disconnecting from my USB hub with all other peripherals and had no issue.
Now I have a challenge with the Orion 2 stick base update - I get a message to disconnect the F16 grip…?! Anyway to update without doing it? The connector is too sensitive and I prefer not to do that.
Thanks

Yeah, disconnecting the Orion 2 Stick Grip to do a Stick Base firmware upgrade is a real pain.  I wish that was not the case.  So easy to damage that connector and so fiddley to plug it back in.
