arilm21 Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Hello all I was trying to create a new mission and was going to set up a trigger of using a radio command for an AI unit to switch waypoints, I have done this in the past and have checked multiple older missions I’ve made that use this to make sure I’m not nuts but when I try to create that trigger on this mission I can’t seem to do it. I previously set up a trigger that added a radio command that when used triggered a flag that would then be used activate the AI task push/ AI task set but not when I try it won’t allow me to create it. I can set the flag with the radio transmission but when I try to make the AI task push section there’s nothing in the drop down menu, anyone got any advice?
Exorcet Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Be aware that Push and Set are different. Set wipes all other tasks the AI has while Push prioritizes a task without wiping everything. In order to push an action it needs to be added to the triggered actions, not waypoints, for a group. Was this done? Pizzicato Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 As Exorcet says, you need to create the action in the Advanced Trigger Actions for the Group in question. See page 273 of the User Manual for details. Once you've done that, it should show up in the options for AI Set Task and AI Push Task. i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S

Was this done? That is the problem I can not create the triggered action I am not messing with anything in the waypoints other than setting up the overall way points of the flight.

If you have discord and are willing to stream your mission editor I can help walk you through this. I do this all the time, so it is working, I think it's just a simple confusion on the triggers. DM me if you're interested. Alternatively, take a look an example I just made: Radio Set Task.miz Edited May 6, 2024 by TEMPEST.114

Unfortunately no I don’t know what happened I was able to finish the trigger set on a new mission file for whatever reason the mission I had created just would not let me set up the trigger for whatever reason I will close this post I’m just not sure what happened in that mission file. 1
