VR not loading following update to 2.8 (and continues in 2.9)

I am using W11 with HP Reverb G2

VR has been working well for a very long time.

I updated to 2.8 and now VR starts to load but fails and DCS loads flat screen.  The first of the two "blue circles" consisting of triangles appears and fades away but the second blue circle does not and audio starts in the headset.   I take off the headset and DCS is fully functional flat screen.

I've updated MS FS and VR is functioning normally.

I've updated to 2.9 and the problem persists.

I've updated all Windows elements.

Any suggestions would be most welcome as DCS is an invaluable tool for things like simulated engine flameout (SFO) practice.  I'm probably just doing something silly or I've forgotten a step when DCS updates.

hello. the only thing in your log is the line

this denotes a shader issue i think.

however i have seen other posts that say a repair of DCS will improve the experience.

I would suggest raising a ticket with ED support.

Your logfile has the following message at the point where your VR headset should be listed

2024-05-07 22:41:03.031 INFO VISUALIZER (Main): VRG skip, ask for support if you own VRG helmet

 

Does the issue occur if you try the mt exe?
