Another Launcher exe failure

I am have the same laumcher.exe failure. Music comes on, game window with white background, the launcher.exe failure no longer working note comes up. I have searched through the forum and have tried the following.

 

1) Initial problem

2) uninstall/ Reboot

3) Disable Vista UAC / Resintallas admin

4) Clean install...same issue

5) uninstall /Reboot

6) Downgrade to cat 8.12

7) reboot

8) Clean install as admin....same issue

9) uninstall / reboot

10) reinstall sound drivers / Disable cat A.I.

11) Clean install

12) same issue...

 

 

Am I missing some thing, i have read that several of you have been able to get the game to work by disable of cat A.I. but no - joy for me. Having memories of getting lomac to run:huh:. Any other suggestion or am I sunk??:cry:

Is there a patch coming soon for this?

There is a patch coming, though I do not know if it is able to adress this issue.

 

Are there any error codes or such error messages coming up when the game fails? If not could you try starting it while running Process Explorer in the background to see if it is at some specific place that it fails? Do you have any crash logs in your blackshark temp folder?

If you have any codec packs installed try to remove them as well, please.

I don't have any codec packs installed. Also black shark did not create a crash log. I did run it with process explorer in the background and noticed that the Werfault.exe came up after..

 

...Direct sound Administrator shared thread array (lock) ...

...Direct input...

...Direct input ...

 

This leads me to believe that it may still be a sound card problem or one of my input devices.... keyboard, joystickm,mouse etc. I heave read in a thread that certain key boards may have an issue. I am using a Logitech wireless key board and a microsoft wireless mouse, I will experiment and get back.

set all settings to easy,, set your graphics (AYI Catalyst) to easy and application settings.... instead of your settings...

 

do you fly other flight sims/games? do they work ok?

 

your sound settings:

do you have motherboard onboard sound, or sound card?

set them to easy, slow, etc..

 

 

not sure what else..

are you using the stock bios settings on the motherboard, or did you set your cpu and memory yourself?
