Reconnaissance Missions

Hello DCS Community,

This is my first post on this forum, so excuse my ignorance. 🙂

I just started playing the free version of DCS World yesterday, and enjoy flying/learning the unarmed Mustang quite a lot!
Now I wanted do understand how to fly a mission and complete it successfully.

I tried the autogenerated reconnaissance missions, as well as setting up my own ones from scratch.

Some of my problems which I believe might be related:
1) I did not ever manage to switch into spotting-mode. This should work via right-mouse-button? I tried this with and without fog-of-war
2) Even a simple 2 waypoint mission: "takeoff -> land" does not seem to complete (I am landing, opening canopy and "ejecting"/getting out of my plane)
3) I have no understanding how the final score is calculated but I always get zero points. 😛

Thanks,
Miguel

Have a read:

If you expect some message or automatic exit from the mission when completed then you have to set goals and triggers.

It's not done this way in most missions - after parking the aircraft you just press Esc and select Quit. The "results" points decide if you progress in the campaign if the mission was part of it.

Check the options to enable the recon mode:

btw: It's not a thread that belongs to "Controller Questions and Bugs" section.
